Boaz Zissu is Professor of Archaeology and Head of the Martin (Szusz) Department of Land of Israel Studies and Archaeology at Bar-Ilan University. He has conducted archaeological excavations and surveys in Jerusalem, Ketef Jericho and the Judean countryside, and he has published five books and more than 180 articles concerning Judea during the Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine periods.
